I love movies. Especially ones that I can watch over and over and still have the same feeling at the end. Whenever anyone asks me the top 5 movies I would bring with me to a deserted island, "Remember the Titans" is one of them. The others would include "Thirteen Days", "Never Been Kissed", "Pocahontas", and "Sister Act". But that is a post for another day.

yes, i do blast this soundtrack in my car. not ashamed. |
Back to the Titans...I especially loved watching this movie in Provo because it is set in the fall time in Alexandria, and there are so many shots of gorgeous leaves it made me feel a little connected to home. The soundtrack is also one of my faves and I listen to the instrumental piece that plays while they're winning the championship on my long runs...gives the little extra pump up I sometimes need.
And really, who doesn't love a good inspirational sports movie?
So last weekend my friends and I decided we needed a little high school football in our lives, and headed over to Burke to watch the actual T.C. Williams Titans take on the Lake Braddock Bruins.
It was a little rainy and chilly, but being in the stands brought back soooo many high school memories. Especially homecoming 2006 when we spelled out "G-O P-O-T-O-M-A-C".
"In Virginia, high school football is a way of life."
