My parents and I have a tradition that started when I went
to BYU and returned to VA every Christmas: we go to the Christmas Candlelight
Tour at Mt. Vernon. Usually we have dinner at the Mt Vernon Inn beforehand, but
it was closed so we ate at Founding Farmers, which is equally delicious. It is
always one of my favorite things about the holiday.

and friends.
The 8th was Britt’s birthday so we went up to
Annapolis to have seafood and watch the boat lights parade. It also happened to
be the night Army/Navy was playing so I got to watch the end of the game in a
restaurant ½ mile from the USNA campus. Go Navy :) The lights were
AMAZING and so fun. A really great evening-I love Annapolis.
Lots of watching Christmas movies. Four of my favorites.

"What is it you want, Mary? What do you want? You want the moon? Just say the word and i'll throw a lasso around it and pull it down. Hey. That's a pretty good idea. I'll give you the moon, Mary." |

Christmas lights at the DC temple. Every year stakes from
around the area each decorate a tree that is displayed in the visitors
center-had to find Woodbridge of course.
The world didn’t end.
Which is good, because later that day my nephews CAME. Poor
little guys fell asleep on the way home.
Grandpa Morgan finally got to meet Gavyn, his youngest great-grandchild,
and see the twins again for the first time in 5 years. We also got to take a
4-generation picture.
Even though I only live 30 minutes away, it was so nice to
be at home, relaxing with my family and just enjoying each other. The boys
LOVED Raja, who made herself at home. Gavyn was probably the easiest person to
get a gift for-pretty pleased with this $4 purchase. “BA-BALL”
And of course, LRG had its annual gift exchange. Love these
friends of mine.
It was truly a wonderful Christmas season.
