Apparently, by the second week of August I felt like I hadn't traveled enough (............) so I asked C if I could come visit her in Durham. She is there finishing up nursing school, and its only a 4 hour drive from DC, so it was the perfect little weekend getaway. Since that's all I do now. Oops.
i drove down Friday afternoon and after catching up on all the ferocious things that have been happening to us lately, we decided to go eat chicken and waffles. and shop. WHICH was amazing by the way. i bought an anchor bag that i LOVE. we tried to find my skirt at H&M (another fail by the way), and then went to drive around Duke's campus. thennnn we went to Target because who doesn't love that. we made some Oreo chunk cookies (omg...) so i took a selfie and sent it to Lauren.
Saturday we went to the beach down in Wilmington. it poured rain the whole way there, so things weren't looking good...there was a little break, so we prayedddd it would last. we laid down on the beach and no lie, 2 minutes later, it started raining. WHAT. seriously. hahaha all we could do was laugh.
we went to church on Sunday in her ward and then i drove back to DC. i had the best weekend with my girl C...i am grateful that she is a short roadtrip away and that i know for sure that she is a true friend. srsly, so blessed.
